The Friends of the Library are an independent group of volunteers whose interests lie in promoting and supporting the library in its role as a community hub which delivers quality library and information services. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month.
Aims
1. To provide an informal and friendly forum for discussion of matters affecting our library;
2. To raise funds for resources, services and facilities that benefit the community via our library. Particular focus is given to items/events that either lie outside or are difficult to accommodate within the regular library budget;
3. To work in partnership with the Library in promoting a positive image of our public libary;
4. To support the Library in seeking innovative approaches to library service delivery to our community.
