Join the Library

Residents of the City of Greater Geraldton and the Mid West region are required to provide proof of current residential address.

If you are under the age of 16, a parent or guardian signature is required.

Please read the Terms & Conditions and complete the Online Membership Form to sign up for a membership.

Current members of other Public Libraries in WA may join the Library on the provision of a temporary address in Geraldton, together with proof of a permanent residential address. Full borrowing privileges apply.

Visitors must provide a temporary address in Geraldton, together with proof of a permanent residential address. This entitles the visitor to a loan limit of two items.

Your Membership

How do I access my online library account?

Log in here and enter your card number and PIN. Your online Library account allows you to reserve & borrow digital items, renew borrowed items and change PIN.

How do I change my personal details?

Please call us on 08 9956 6659 or visit the Library to update your details (i.e. change of address, change of email address).

Borrowing Items

How many items can I borrow?

Resident members are allowed to borrow up to 12 items per member, including up to 4 DVD's.

Visitor members will still only be allowed to borrow 2 items per card.

How can I renew the items currently checked out in my account?

Here are your options:

  1.  Login to your Library account
  2.  Call, email or visit the Library

How long can I borrow the items for?

The loan period will be 3 weeks.

How many times can I renew the items I borrowed?

You can renew the items twice.

Will I get a notification if the items are overdue?

Yes, depending on your preference, you will be notified by letter, email, or SMS. 

Is there an overdue fine?

Yes. Overdue items returned will incur $5.50 bill.

I have a book on hold - what do I do? 

When your item is ready for pick-up at the Library, you will be notified.

Online Resources

Where can I find the apps and instructions on how to use the Library's Online Resources?

Available online resources offered by the Geraldton Regional Library can be found here. It also includes instructions on how to access the apps.

Where can I see the list of new/featured books?

The Library features books weekly in the Collection menu in the Library's website.

Who can access the e-resources?

Most apps will require you to be a member of the Geraldton Regional Public Library or Mullewa Public Library.

Where can I check if the book/item I want is available in the Library?

You can access the Library's catalogue whether you are a member or not to search for items.
