FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Heal Country NAIDOC Photography Exhibition comes to the Geraldton Regional Library

6 December 2021

The NAIDOC Photography Competition for 2021 had the theme of Heal Country.

Entrants were given the following brief:

"Heal Country calls for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction.

For this year's NAIDOC Photography Competition 2021 we invite you to take a photo of what HEAL COUNTRY means to you. Along with your photo, you will also be required to submit a paragraph explaining what your photo means, and how it fits into this year's theme of HEAL COUNTRY."

This year, GRAMS NAIDOC Photography Competition is also proudly sponsored by Geraldton YAMAJI Art Centre.

The competition entries will be on exhibition in the Geraldton Regional Library from Monday 6 December, with all welcome to come view the spectacular photographs captured by the community.

The photographs will be evaluated by our judging panel and the winners for each category will be announced on Tuesday 7 December from 9:30am at the Geraldton Regional Library.
