Midwest Libraries Consortium
Library resources in the Midwest and Gascoyne continue to be shared far and wide as part of the Midwest Libraries Consortium.
Established by the City of Greater Geraldton in 2016, the Consortium also includes Shires of Carnarvon, Chapman Valley, Coorow, Dandaragan, Mingenew, Northampton, Cue, Irwin, Exmouth, Morawa and Useless Loop.
This initiative enables a collaborative approach to the sharing of resources and databases in regional WA, with Library catalogues available online via the Shire websites.
Moving away from the common stereotype, today’s libraries offer so much more than just books, with children’s activities, WIFI and internet services, heritage collections, festivals and special celebrations, and community meeting spaces.
