The Geraldton Public Library opened in July 1968 next to the Council buildings in Cathedral Avenue. It became a Regional Library in 1979, providing advice and support to 26 Libraries throughout the Mid -West Region.
Due to the expansion of its services, collection and clientele base, by 2008 the Library had outgrown its premises and was looking for a new space which could accommodate the needs of technology and services. In 2010, the Library moved to its new premises at 37 Marine Terrace, the site of a former supermarket.
The Library aims to provide a welcoming and respectful space for all. Please help us to do this by abiding by our Conditions of Entry/Profiles/library/Assets/ClientData/Documents/Geraldton_Regional_Library_-_Conditions_of_Entry_-_2024,pdf.
