Future Forward: When I first encountered the theme Future Forward, my mind went straight to AI and digitally driven creative spaces. But I kept circling back to a different idea of the future, one that resists that pull. I imagine a kind of quiet uprising, where people return to slower, tactile processes: typewriters, hand drawn illustration, writing in journals with nice pens. This piece sits in that tension. It combines traditional printmaking and carving with digital intervention, using an image of my vintage typewriter that I translated into a digital line drawing before bringing it back into a physical collage. It moves between mediums but always returns to the hand. I wanted to make something deliberate, imperfect, and human.
