Big Sky Festival Fringe - 150th Anniversary Celebrations - Bluff Point Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage

Sunday 25th October 2026

Celebrate 150 Years of Maritime History

Join the Geraldton Historical Society Inc. as we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Bluff Point Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage.

Built in 1876 and associated with the Upper Lead Light, the Cottage is an important surviving link to Geraldton’s maritime history and the early navigational lights of Champion Bay. This special community event will celebrate the stories of lighthouse keepers, their families, seafarers and the wider community connected with this historic place.

Please arrive by 1.50 pm.

Afternoon Tea

Following the ceremony, everyone is invited to nearby St George’s Hall for a bring-and-share afternoon tea. Please bring a plate of food to share if you are able.
