Free event

Local Artist William Upchurch will guide you through the techniques of shading, sketching and the use of colour in your artworks. During the workshop you will have time to explore and begin filling your sketchbook with anything that takes your imagination - drawings, poems, paintings, cut-outs, collage and more!

Participants will be registered for the 2025 Sketchbook Project organised by Propel Youth Arts.
Founded in 2003, Propel Youth Arts WA is a for-purpose organisation providing young people aged 12-26 with platforms to engage with arts and culture on their terms.

The Sketchbook Project is a collaborative and visual experience that provides an opportunity for young people to share their own personal stories and passions with the wider community across Western Australia.

Sketchbooks need to be returned to the Geraldton Regional Library mid-March and will become part of a touring exhibition in Western Australia.

Limited places and bookings essential.

Age restrictions apply: 12 years - 18 years.

Light refreshments and snacks provided.

This workshop will be supervised by two staff who hold current Working with Children Checks and parental supervision is not required.
