Comics to feature in Lightbox Gallery

2 September 2021

Perth-based comic maker Campbell Whyte is about to leave his mark on Geraldton with his works featuring in the popular Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery this month.

Take My Bones is a light-hearted series that explores hopes and dreams for the future as well as the legacy we leave behind.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn encouraged members of the community to check it out.

“We are excited to welcome another high-calibre exhibition to the Lightbox Gallery and know that the public will enjoy Campbell’s quirky comics,” he said.

“The Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery that forms part of Rocks Laneway is a popular area in our CBD with close to 10,000 visitors passing through the area since it was transformed in 2019.

“This presents a great opportunity for artists to have their work seen and adds even more vibrancy to our city centre.”

Campbell Whyte’s creations are on display from Thursday 2 September to Thursday 28 October in the Post Office Lane Lightbox Gallery, which heads from Rocks Laneway towards the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery.

Geraldton Regional Library’s Big Sky Readers and Writers Festival is also hosting Comic Making Workshops with Campbell Whyte on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 October.

The workshops are free, suitable for ages eight years plus and will be taking place in Rocks Laneway. If you are interested in attending a workshop, click here.
