Library put recycled reads to good use

Those looking for a new book to read need not look any further thanks to the Geraldton Regional Library’s newest initiative featuring bundles of donated and discarded tales.
Recycled Reads consists of fiction, non-fiction, young adult and junior books grouped in bags that are free to collect at set times of the week.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said there are a great variety of stories in each pack.
“Thank you to those in the community who have donated their books to the Library – the team have made great use of them through the Recycled Reads initiative,” he said.
“The packs are free and contain mystery items, meaning that all the books in the bundles are luck of the draw. You might get some genres you’ve never read before and turn out to really enjoy them.
“Our thanks to Friends of the Geraldton Library (FOGL) for helping us with this initiative.”
Recycled Reads is available in both Mullewa and Geraldton, and is limited to one adult pack and one young adult pack per family per week.
Packs will be available to collect from the Geraldton Regional Library’s van bay off Chapman Road at set times each week day, with strict social distancing measures in place.
Those in Mullewa are be able to collect their book bundle from the District Office.
